CHRONOS tracks elapsed time and activity during an incident. Everything is saved in
your browser on this device.
Incident Timer
Press Start Incident to begin counting. Use Set Manual Start Time if the incident began
before you opened the tool. End Incident stops the clock; Reset clears it.
The arrow in the top right of the timer box minimizes it to a single row, giving the activity log more
space. The elapsed time and controls stay visible. Your choice is remembered.
Aux Timers
Independent stopwatches for tracking a task or assignment. Press + to add one. Click a timer's
name to rename it.
Countdowns
Count down from a set duration. Use these for operational period check-ins or anything on a fixed
interval.
Alarms
Fire once at a specific clock time. A firing alarm flashes red - click it to acknowledge.
Activity Log
Press Log Entry to record a note. The timestamp is filled in automatically but can be edited if
you are entering something after the fact. Timer and alarm events are logged automatically.
Export
By default exports contain only the entries you typed. Timer, countdown, and alarm events are left
out. Tick Include automatic entries to export everything the log shows. The line under the
checkbox tells you how many entries will be exported.
The Export menu offers four formats:
Copy as HTML table - copies the log to your clipboard as a two-column table with borders.
Paste it into a Word or Google Docs form, such as an ICS-214. The date appears only on the first
entry of each day; later entries that day show the time alone.
Copy as plain text - copies the log as plain text, for pasting into an email or chat.
Download CSV - a spreadsheet file with separate date, time, and entry columns.
Download TXT - the log as a plain text file.
Exports are always ordered oldest to newest, regardless of how the log is displayed.
Your Data
Nothing is sent to a server. The log lives in this browser's storage, so clearing site data or using a
different device or browser means starting over. Export anything you need to keep.
